Buzz Track: Stop Me

First he came at us with his ODB sampled cover of Britney Spears' "Toxic", making everyone realise just how talented he is as a producer and then Mark followed it up with a track that is simply the crossover smash hit of the year "Stop Me". By combining the Smith's original lyrics, sung by his protégé Daniel Merriweather with The Supremes, Ronson has created a monster that looks set to be the Gnarls Barkleyesque tune of Spring and probably the summer as well.

The rest of the album doesn¹t let up either, whether it's the sultry Amy Winehouse giving her take on The Zuton's 'Valerie' or Lily Allen's London swagger on the cover of 'Oh My God', Ronson is able to take a tune and completely re-work it, never losing his trademark horns or funky drums.

Listening to this album there is no doubt in my mind that it's going to be a huge hit, with everyone from hip hop heads to pop lovers getting into it, with Ronson keeping everyone happy throughout the duration. Buy this the day it drops or your ears will be sorely missing out.
